Quality Materials, Quality Results

Printing Media

This is what you may call the "paper" where our graphics are printed. We call it media because it is definitely not paper. It is a special material formulated with a custom smooth micro-porous receiving layer that allows ink to be more crisp and detailed upon printing. It also includes a special balanced anti-static, light-block back coating, so you never see shadows of your frame.

What cheap imitators use – plain paper. This will result in mediocre color range, and no light blocking which will cause your frame to be visible from the front.

Laminate

This is the protective layer that is adhered to the media. This velvet polycarbonate film offers protection from UV, abrasion and moisture. The non-glare finish great for trade show and display graphics. Plus it is key to provide the rigidity needed for your graphics to follow the curvature of your stand.

What cheap imitators use – thin vinyl laminates. They do not offer the rigidity necessary to provide a real "wall". So your display will look wavy and awkward. Plus, they may not be UV resistant, so your colors will fade.

Fabrics made in the USA

Premier quality fabrics with exceptional whiteness will result in vivid color reproductions. That is why we carry One Planet Fabric, smartly engineered from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, and knitted in America. Its perfectly smooth matte texture, consistent stretch, excellent opacity, superior wrinkle resistance and environmentally sustainable features make it the best media to showcase your brand. And it meets all standards coast-to-coast for flame resistance.

What cheap imitators use – thin polyester made in China. These fabrics commonly include imperfections and may not block back-lighting sufficiently. Plus flame retardant certification may not be available.

Real Dye Sublimation

Here is how dye-sublimation printing works: using specially formulated inks, large direct print processors lay down reversed imagery onto transfer paper. The transfer paper and fabric are then loaded and simultaneously run through a heat press which subjects the fabric and transfer paper to extreme heat and pressure. At temperatures upwards of 400 degrees the sublimation inks transform (“sublimate”) from a solid to a gaseous state permanently imprinting the fabric. The end result are vibrant colors, high quality and detailed images - limited only by the texture of the fabric – long lasting dye, the ability to be cleaned and even be subjected to commercial washing machines, huge size capabilities and, because it’s fabric, custom sewing and finishing.

What cheap imitators use – ink is deposited directly to specially coated fabric and then heated to set the dyes. The resulting prints do not have a good saturated image result or crisp line details. Resolution is not as good especially on knit materials, which are usually preferred for tension fabric structures.

Original Hardware

Certain displays need special hardware to be able to attach graphic panels. We use only original hardware, to guarantee a professional look and perfect fitting. For example in popup displays, these are the plastic hangers and kickers that allow the graphic to hang on the display, that should be made with special flexible but resistant PVC, matte finish for a polished look.

What cheap imitators use – they will try to copy the hardware cutting up generic plastic, which will look unprofessional in most cases.

High Energy Magnets

These are key to making sure that panels align correctly, so you can achieve a uniform effect. We use custom made high-energy magnets not available commercially.

What cheap imitators use – basic magnets. They will not provide the necessary strength and your graphics may fall from the frame. Plus, alignment is an art. Magnets must be placed at a specific location for them to work properly.

Real Velcro

The original Velcro brand fasteners last longer and produce a tighter fit to make sure fabrics are tensioned and wrinkle free.

What cheap imitators use – generic fasteners that last only a few applications or fray with time.

YKK Zippers

Take a look at your favorite jeans and chances are you will find YKK stamped on the zipper. As the leaders in their industry, original YKK zippers will pass the test of time. So we only trust the experts to secure our tension fabric displays!

What cheap imitators use – generic zippers that are not strong enough to secure tensioned materials

Professional Craftsmanship

We have been producing trade show displays for over 15 years. We know what is important, not only in the way to handle the materials but also how they interact together. This is more art than science.

What cheap imitators use – well, they will try to copy a sample you provide, but that does not mean they will know all the details necessary to actually to make it work!

Graphic Types

Laminated Titanium Film Graphics

Used for: Detachable Graphics, Photomural Panels, Graphic Case Wraps, and Header Graphics

What makes this film unique is a special titanium layer embedded in the media, the perfect solution to block back light. The media substrate is a specialized extrusion of DuPont film: the toughest and most dimensionally stable base available. Light cannot penetrate the media, therefore, displays in mixed lighting conditions are brighter, have a bigger impact and are more durable. The ink receiving layer is bonded into the film using corona treatment, fusing the top molecules with an ultra high voltage charge during coating. In fact this process is standard on all our film and photobase products. We finish the prints with a polycarbonate UV laminate to create a rigid, yet rollable graphic panel that will follow the contours of the frames without unsightly waves or imperfections. They will also add protection against scratches.

Our titanium film sets new standards. If you want the best in terms of image quality and durability in roll-up and portable displays, our titanium film is the only choice!

Laminated Banner Graphics

Used for: Retractable and tension banners

Lightweight with a unique high gloss finish which creates extremely vivid images. The light-blocking layer eliminates backside light transmittal to prevent image wash out. The instant dry film resists tunneling, edge fraying, and tearing during the rolling and unrolling process. Finished with premium laminate for extended durability.

Scrim Vinyl Graphics

Used for: Indoor and outdoor applications

This banner material offers high print quality and durability. A 10 mil polyester reinforced tyvek material is ideal in price and performance. Provides strong, vibrant colors. Good choice for indoor/outdoor use. Ask about our 13 & 14 oz., or Mesh Vinyl options too!

Polyester Knit Fabric Graphics

A high-class application that is both lightweight, versatile and durable. We print our fabrics using real dye sublimation process, not direct to print methods, in order to obtain more realistic colors and superb resolution. Smooth-weaved fray resistant polyester fabric provides vibrant photo quality prints. Superior color-fastness and water resistant properties make this an ideal choice for indoor/outdoor use. Translucent properties allow backlighting if desired.

Handling & Storage Instructions for Display Graphics

High-resolution, full color digital graphics, like other detailed works of quality craftsmanship, are vulnerable to mishandling, and /or inappropriate exposure, which can adversely affect visual appeal. So careful handling is needed to protect your investment. Please follow these directions to insure the best care for your graphics.

Inkjet Prints on Specialty Media

  • DO NOT fold, crease, or scuff your graphics.
  • Keep the edges and other parts of your graphics away from moisture.
  • If your graphics are NOT laminated, DO NOT touch or try to clean the image with any object or expose to any type of moisture.
  • If your graphics ARE laminated, you may clean the image surface with a soft clean cloth and water.
  • DO NOT use solvent-based cleaners on any part of the Graphic.
  • DO NOT scuff, scrape or rub hard.
  • DO NOT expose the edges of your graphics to extreme moisture.
  • ROLL GRAPHICS: Image side out ONLY – Rolling the graphics any other way, can cause de-lamination bubbles or separation areas on your panels.
  • DO NOT roll Photomural panels to a diameter less than 12"d.
  • DO NOT roll laminated graphics to a diameter less than 6"d.
  • DO NOT store graphics in environments with extreme temperatures and humidity. Unless your graphics have been fabricated using UV rated materials, do not expose to direct sunlight. Avoid over exposure to other UV light sources such as fluorescent.
  • If your graphics are hung from the corners, sides or ends, do not stretch them beyond a reasonable tension, as this could result in tearing them.

Dye Sublimation Printed Fabrics

Dye Sublimation Fabric Graphics can be cleaned and washed easily and with good results. Successfully cleaning your graphics depends on following the below instructions. Results may vary depending on the contaminant, how dirty the graphics are and what fabric you are cleaning.

  • SPOT CLEANING
  • Fabric can be spot treated, as with typical laundry. Use mild soap and cold water. Test on a small spot in a less than obvious spot first.

  • MACHINE WASHING
  • Fabric graphics can be machine washed in cold on a gentle cycle, with mild soap and cold water, no bleach. Lay flat or hang on frame to dry.

  • CAN BE DRY CLEANED
  • DO NOT IRON
  • Use a hand or commercial steamer to eliminate any wrinkles or creases.

  • STORAGE
  • Store gently folded in a plastic bag, in a cool dry area. Close zippers before folding. Fabric must be completely dry prior to storing.
