The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is located in downtown Pittsburgh and is currently the world’s only convention center with GOLD in new construction and PLATINUM in existing building LEED® certifications.

This 1.5 million square feet facility offers 53 meeting rooms, which include two 250 seat lecture halls. There is 313,400 square feet of exhibit space, 236,900 of which is column free. The Spirit of Pittsburg Ballroom has 31,610 square feet.

Transportation & Reach
Pittsburgh holds the world's record for the number of bridges with 446 spans, three more than Venice, Italy which has been called the "City of Bridges." Major highways Interstate 76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike), Interstate 79, Interstate 70, Interstate 80 and Interstate 68 all feed into the city.

Pittsburgh International Airport serves the Pittsburgh area. It was a major hub for US Airways until the decline of the airline. The area is also served by Arnold Palmer Regional Airport and the Allegheny County Airport.
Train Transportation to Pittsburgh
Amtrak has limited service into Pittsburgh. The Pennsylvanian runs between New York and Pittsburg via Philadelphia. The Capitol Limited connects through Pittsburg via between Washington and Chicago. Pittsburg is a major hub for freight trains from the east coast.

Buses: Port Authority of Allegheny County operates bus service but serves only portion of the city.
Rail: Port Authority of Allegheny County operates two funicular railways, the Monongahela Incline on Mount Washington and the Duquesne Incline.
Other: Taxis are available in Pittsburgh but they are not in abundance. Your best bet is to phone ahead for a taxi.

Major Attractions: Point State Park is the only state park located in the heart of a major United States city and is the home of The Fountain, the most recognizable landmark in Pittsburgh. Shopping in Pittsburgh: Station Square is a 1.2 mile complex of shopping, dining and entertainment and is one of Pittsburgh's most popular attractions. Excursions from Pittsburgh: You can ride your bicycle on the Great Allegheny Passage from Washington, DC through the Laurel Highlands to the Point in Pittsburgh. Visit Allegheny National Forest which has over 500,000 acres of public forest land and amazing scenery. The Allegheny Portage Railroad brings back the history of steam engines and canal boats. Nearby Erie offers beaches and waterparks as well as great wine country. Not to be missed is Fallingwater, one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s most famous designs. The more adventurous can visit the New River Valley Gorge in West Virginia for some world class rafting.
